Istanbul

During our stopover in Istanbul we spent 5 hours touring the city with Kelly's friend from high school, Marisa, and her boyfriend Tony who just happen to be on a week-long vacation there. They took us on a
beautiful walking tour were we got to see a lot of the city, including Taksim and Tunel square, and several beautiful mosques.


We then toured the blue mosque which was really breathtaking!  There were beautiful
fountains on the outside and gorgeous tile on the inside.





 After, we grabbed a bite to eat and had to head back to the
airport...We are pretty wiped, but are enjoying the flight to Entebbe.

Next stop Uganda...

    Cool. What are the guys doing outside in that pic? Looks like putting shoes on/off or something.

    Hey Kris! Actually these men are washing their feet before they go into the mosque. Everyone has to take off their shoes before entering, but those praying their wash their feet in order to cleanse before entering. It was pretty neat to see...
